Will Google's reinvention of the Operating System bring Bill Gates out of retirement?

What I'm seeing in the making is a portable OS... You'll be able to download your settings to any computer, a few years from now maybe second half of 2012.. And tackling this problems from the paradigm of the Browser I think google has hit it BIG!

Secondly they'll brilliantly maybe in advertedly avoid what MS went through by 'having to separate IE from the OS"... if they gain a monopoly no judge would ask them to remove chrome if it is the OS and not the 'browser'

Thirdly they'll make the leap Apple did with the iPhone by being able to recreate a old concept on new technologies... rather than apply old concepts on new technologies like MS is doing with XP and Blackberry is doing with their system. Similarly how they got Chrome to hit the ground running 30 million strong in 9 months. Has any browser ever grown that exponentially?

Fourth, they'll change the landscape like the did with GMail when people were offering 2MB inboxes that you couldn't search...

OUCH!!! What a headache for MS this will be.

How to enable disk use on iPod Touch?

Seems like Apple removed that option. A friend purchased a new MacBook and can't get his music from his iPod on to that MacBook...

The only way is through a program called Touch Copy, they can do it but they have to charge. iPodDisk, Senuti and other programs failed.

White Macbook vs Macbook Pro(Aluminum unibody)

A grade faster processor, a slice thinner, a hair split .5 pounds lighter, by far stronger aluminum vs polycarbonate the 13" Macbook Pro looks to be a clear winner and big step from the 13" Macbook White.

Previously a review between the Macbook White vs Macbook Pro/Aluminum(all pro's r now aluminum) choosing the best of was a very close call. And the difference was at least $300 that was hard to justify the upgrade.

Now the 13" Macbook Pro has all of the following below that the Macbook white doesn't. And only a $200 difference that's seems to be well worth the upgrade.

• Multi-Touch Track Pad
• Illuminated Keyboard
• Firewire 800 vs Mac White firewire 400
• SD Card Slot
• Longer Battery life by 2 hours
• DDR3 SDRAM
• LED Backlit Screen
• and of course the aluminum unibody

If your in the market for a new Macbook, the 13" Macbook Pro seems like a obvious choice. If you already have a Intel Core 2 duo above 2GHz and a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M Macbook, its better to wait til prices fall. Probably around fourth quarter next year or when they drop Snow Leopard. Your missing but not missing that much.

I bolding predict that they'll remove Macbook White or over haul it and drop the 13" Macbook Pro to $999.

is the blackberry tour competition for the iPhones?

The release though a major upgrade for blackberry enthusiast on Verizon & Sprint. it's a unexciting phone in the age of Palm Pre's, Androids and iPhones... It seems like a old but goody from a previous generation. it comes with 256MB which is miniscule in this age. I don't know if anyone who like to be stuck in a two year contract when this time next year the Pre's, Droids and Iphones will have taken more leaps.
