So far the reception of the phone has been poor.  Complaints about no customer service, $700 early termination fees and poor first week sales(20,000) estimates.

Google today launches a new SmartPhone. The Nexus One, will be the flag ship Android phone. I guess the partners weren't moving as fast as Google wanted or google noticed so much more potential with the new device.

Needless to say it must be selling like hot 'cupcakes'. The the HTC Hero still has one up on the new Nexus One with Multitouch. The Hero and IPhone are the only two so far that have that capability.

It looks like it's still just the beginning as this sector is about to explode and no one has show cased their full deck off cards yet.

We recently came up with the concept of a mobile lab, which is a device that combines innovative hardware from a partner with software that runs on Android to experiment with new mobile features and capabilities, and we shared this device with Google employees across the globe. This means they get to test out a new technology and help improve it.

Unfortunately, because dogfooding is a process exclusively for Google employees, we cannot share specific product details. We hope to share more after our dogfood diet.

CNET TV Associate Producer Jason Howell, who had a very brief hands-on with the gadget Friday night and first relayed the news on Twitter, confirms that the "mobile lab" device is an HTC phone running the Android 2.1 operating system.

"I knew it was an HTC device," Howell said. "It looked like the Touch, but was a lot thinner...it was a slick-looking thing and very nice." He also spotted a trackball and four standard Android menu controls, and he said the display was "supersharp" and rivaled that on the Motorola Droid.

The phone is “really, really fast,” says someone who has seen one in action. It runs on a Snapdragon chip, has a super high-resolution OLED touchscreen, is thinner than the iPhone, has no keyboard, and two mics. The mic on the back of the phone helps eliminate background noise, and it also has a “weirdly” large camera for a phone. And if you don’t like the touchscreen keyboard, a voice-to-text feature is supposed to let you dictate emails and notes by speaking directly into the phone.

The HTC Hero now has the sweet Eclair(2.0) update leaked(not the official version). Only the Motorola Droid had the 2.0 and the good folks at HTC were left out. The new update includes the following below.

Blackberry gets Beyonce Crowd Surfing in London

The power of cell phones capture moments that were only once reserved for Kodak. Beyonce Knowles is diving and crowd surfing while performing "Halo" at the O2 Arena in London, England on November 16, 2009. Another person in front captures the footage with a blackberry bold. RIM got that product placement in there for free:) But I guess the person with the Bold was satisfied with the front row seats and experience.

Chome OS Video and Google Phone Rumors from TechCrunch

Google Unviels Chrome OS
It boots in 7 Seconds and their saying they want to make it quicker. The presentation was done from a laptop that was running Chrome OS. Sundar Pichai(Vice President of Product Management) & Matthew Papakipos(Director of the HTML 5 Open Web Platform). Very clever introducing it through the web browser as it's familiar to users. The project they say is a year ahead of schedule.

Google Phone aka Dragon/Passion
TechCrunch Released a story today saying that Google will release their very own phone. Yes that's right they're own phone, not a Motorola Droid, HTC Hero or T-Mobile G1. I'm guessing but don't have any facts to prove it that the phone might be running Chrome OS. I think they've come to realize that Android is no match for the iPhone. What is clear is more people are going online with their phones. And for Google to win years ahead they need to have phones that allow people to load pages that have their ads and do it quicker to increase the dsense revenue.

Google Chrome OS is a new project, separate from Android. Android was designed from the beginning to work across a variety of devices from phones to set-top boxes to netbooks. Google Chrome OS is being created for people who spend most of their time on the web, and is being designed to power computers ranging from small netbooks to full-size desktop systems. While there are areas where Google Chrome OS and Android overlap, we believe choice will drive innovation for the benefit of everyone, including Google.

Google fires back @ Apple by removing Apple from search results

In a rare somewhat childish move, it is reported that Google has: "removed all search results leading to Apple.com from its index. Google is also redirecting searches for "iPhone" and "app store" to the IMDb.com page for Payback."

They say it's a coincidence but the trash talking between Google's VP Marissa Mayer and Steve Jobs may suggest otherwise. "Steve Jobs hinted that another strange coincidence might occur soon. "Safari may be getting a different search engine, just saying," said Jobs.

"Oooh, I'm shaking," said Mayer
.

The root of this is Apple's growing yay or nay stance as to what goes on the Apple store... Some argue what if Microsoft had to approve every application? When Microsoft added the Explorer to every PC it was an outrage. Now when Apple adds Safari to every phone it's sweet:? Well Google not to be outdone with Chrome OS will be adding more sweetness by making the browser the OS...

Well truth is while these companies are bored because of the position of wealth power and tiny competition: other companies out there are doing their work and will evolve to the likes of Facebook and make these lame scuffles childish.

Twitter slams TechCrunch Journalists, what to take from this?

In a unfortunate event, a hacker compromised Twitter's system and offered the documents to a journalists. Both events Twitter was not understandably happy about, their data being compromised and the release of the information by the journalists. In the Twitter blog they lashed out at the Journalists by saying:

Twitter is more than jotted-down notes from a handful of meetings. Our future will be shaped by the passion and inventiveness of everyone who uses Twitter and through the execution of our ideas. Nevertheless, the publication of stolen documents is irresponsible and we absolutely did not give permission for these documents to be shared. Out of context, rudimentary notes of internal discussions will be misinterpreted by current and future partners jeopardizing our business relationships.

We are pursuing a path to address the harm caused by these actions and as noted yesterday, we've already reached out to the partners and individuals affected. @Biz

What can we learn from this situation? 1. Never use the same Password for multiple sites 2. Twitter was lucky that their vulnerabilities were exposed, though not in a away anyone would want it. 3. Lots of companies are now on guard not to repeat the same mistake 4. Luckily by the problem being exposed, it prevents other people from secretly monitoring their date or other peoples data.
